Postal employees with disabilities eligible for up to Rs 10 lakh advance for assistive devices: Dept of Posts

Panchkula, Sep 24 (UNI) Central government postal employees with disabilities may now receive an advance of up to 80% of the estimated cost of prescribed assistive devices, subject to a ceiling of Rs 10 lakh per employee over a three-year period, as per new instructions from the Department of Posts. The Department of Posts has instructed all postal circles and training institutions to implement the revised financial provisions to ensure reasonable accommodation for employees with disabilities.
