UP: 102 children fall ill after eating khasta at a fair in Amethi

Amethi, Oct 29 (UNI) A total of 102 children took ill on Thursday after eating khasta during the Sharad Purnima fair at Baba Moti Das Dham in Kotwa in the Tiloi area of Amethi district in Uttar Pradesh. The children complained of vomiting and diarrhea and were taken to a hospital. Currently, 17 children are undergoing treatment, while the others have been sent home. The incident has raised questions about the quality of food sold at the fair and the Food Safety Department's monitoring system.
