Floodwater-damaged crops in Panchkula village: DC orders inspection for retaining wall

Panchkula, Sep 21 (UNI) Panchkula Deputy Commissioner Satpal Sharma on Monday ordered an immediate site inspection after residents of Shyampur village complained that river water entering agricultural fields had damaged crops and sought construction of a retaining wall to prevent further losses. Sharma directed the Executive Engineer of the Irrigation Department to visit the affected site the same day and submit a report, while hearing public grievances at a Samadhan Shivir held at the Mini Secretariat.
