Cyber fraud call centre targeting US citizens unearthed in Lucknow

Lucknow, Sep 18 (UNI) In a major action, Uttar Pradesh police in Aliganj, Lucknow, uncovered an alleged cyber fraud call centre. The call centre reportedly targeted American citizens and defrauded them. Police detained 16 people, including four women, at the spot. Initial investigations revealed that the accused contacted American citizens under the guise of providing technical support and then obtained their personal and financial information to commit cyber fraud.
