Amritsar police bust three drug, illegal arms networks; five held with 13 pistols, 3.267 kg heroin

Neeraj Bali Chandigarh, Sep 30 (UNI) Amritsar Commissionerate Police have busted three alleged drug trafficking and illegal arms supply networks, arresting five people and recovering 13 pistols, 3.267 kg of heroin and 22 live cartridges, police said. Police said preliminary investigations indicated that the arrested accused were allegedly involved in the procurement and distribution of illegal firearms and narcotics. "Preliminary investigation has revealed that the arrested accused were involved in the supply of illegal weapons and narcotics," police said, adding that investigators were working to identify other people linked to the networks.
