Ahead of Ladakh violence anniversary, cases against 20 withdrawn

Srinagar, Sept 23 (UNI) On the first anniversary eve of Ladakh violence, Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena approved withdrawal of criminal cases against 20 people booked in connection with the incidents, even as groups in the union Territory have planned a protest to mark the occasion. The Ladakh LG said the decision was taken in the larger interest of peace, public tranquility, and social harmony in the region.
