Eggs, tomatoes thrown towards Punjab CM Mann's convoy; BJP leader Ravneet Bittu detained

By Neeraj Bali Chandigarh, Sep 19 (UNI) BJP leader and former union minister Ravneet Singh Bittu was detained by Punjab Police today after eggs and tomatoes were allegedly thrown towards Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann's convoy during a protest outside Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) in Ludhiana. Reports differed on whether Bittu himself threw the items or was part of the group doing so; video reports showed him protesting with eggs and tomatoes as the cavalcade passed.
