Haryana to invest nearly Rs6,000 crore in modernising canal network; focus on cutting water losses, ensuring tail-end supply: Shruti Chaudhary

Panchkula, Sept 29 (UNI) Haryana is set to undertake a major overhaul of its canal irrigation network with a World Bank-backed project worth nearly Rs6,000 crore, aimed at curbing water losses and ensuring that canal water reaches farmers at the tail end of the distribution system, Irrigation and Water Resources Minister Shruti Chaudhary said on Tuesday.
