Nine more kids die due to encephalitis in Gorakhpur

Gorakhpur, Oct 23 (UNI) With three more children dying due to encephalitis in Baba Raghav Das Medical College here in past 48 hours, the toll has risen to 376.
The sources said that out of 1,719 patients of encephalitis admitted to BRD Medical College since January 1, as many as 376 have died till date. In all, 105 patients of encephalitis are currently being treated here in BRD medical college.
Patients from Gorakhpur, seven districts in Basti division, Azamgarh, Ballia, Gonda, Mau, Ghazipur, Balrampur, Bihar and neighbouring country Nepal get treatment at the medical college.
