Srinagar, Apr 19 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Police arrested nine drug peddlers and recovered a huge quantity of contraband substances from them in Anantnag and Baramulla districts, police said on Friday.
Seven drug peddlers were arrested in the jurisdiction of five police stations in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
Police arrested two persons identified as Feroz Ahmad Rather and Aijaz Ahmad Mantoo, both residents of Waghama Bijbehara, and recovered about 09 kg of poppy straw from them, while 16.450 kg of cannabis powder was recovered from the possession of Suhail Ahmad Dar of Nagam Kokernag and Reyaz Ahmad Mir of Watnard Kokernag.
