5.9-magnitude quake hits 143 km SE of Koshima, Japan: USGS

New, York, Apr 16 (UNI) An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.9 jolted 143 km SE of Koshima, Japan, at 22:38:57 GMT on Monday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 8.0 km, was initially determined to be at 29.47 degrees north latitude and 131.74 degrees east longitude.
