Putin, Tokayev discuss implementation of joint projects in trade, energy - Kremlin

Moscow, Mar 2 (UNI) Russian President Vladimir Putin has discussed during a phone conversation with his Kazakh counterpart, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the implementation of joint projects in trade, the economy, transport, logistics and energy, as well as other topical issues on the bilateral agenda, the Kremlin said on Saturday.
"As a follow-up to the exchange of opinions in [the Russian city of] Kazan on February 21, 2024 [on the sidelines of the Games of Future international competition], the presidents discussed certain current issues on the bilateral agenda, with a particular focus on the implementation of joint projects in trade, the economy, transport, logistics and energy," the Kremlin said in a statement.
Tokayev "specifically emphasised the substantive and forward-looking nature" of Putin's address to the Russian parliament, the statement read.
