Passenger car crash kills 2, injures 22 in Philippines

Manila, Mar 31 (UNI) Two people were killed and 22 others injured after a jeepney crashed into a roadside tree in Batangas province, south of Manila, police said on Sunday.
Police said the accident happened at 4:45 p.m. local time on Saturday when the driver lost control of the vehicle while negotiating a descending curve in Lobo town.
The 54-year-old male driver and a 52-year-old male passenger died while being transported to a local hospital, police added.
