17 killed, 35 injured as truck crashes in SW Pakistan

Islamabad, Apr 11 (UNI) At least 17 people were killed and around 35 others injured in a truck crash in Hub district of Pakistan's southwest Balochistan province, the local rescue service confirmed on Thursday morning.
The accident took place late Wednesday night when a truck carrying religious pilgrims fell into a ditch in Ghulam Hussain Chatta area in the district, Abdul Hakeem, a local representative of Edhi rescue organization told Xinhua.
The incident happened due to over-speeding as the driver lost control of the vehicle, he added.
