Day temp above normal at few places over J&K

Pune, Mar 16 (UNI) Day temperatures were appreciably above normal (3.1°C to 5.0°C) at a few places over Jammu-Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad and Bihar; at isolated places over east Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh; above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) at most places over Himachal Pradesh and Jharkhand; at many places over West Bengal and Sikkim, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur.
Mizoram and Tripura, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry and Karaikal; at a few places over east Uttar Pradesh, Odisha and south interior Karnataka; at isolated places over Punjab, Vidarbha, Telangana, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, north interior Karnataka and Kerala and Mahe. They were below normal (-1.6°C to -3.0°C) at isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat state, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and west Madhya Pradesh and near normal over rest parts of the country. Yesterday, the highest maximum temperature of 40.3°C was reported at Kurnool (Rayalaseema) over the country.
Night temperatures were markedly above normal (5.1°C or more) at isolated places over Bihar; appreciably above normal (3.1°C to 5.0°C) at isolated places over Assam and Meghalaya, Gangetic West Bengal and Odisha; above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) at most places over Jharkhand, Telangana, Rayalaseema and Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal; at many places over Kerala and Mahe, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim; at a few places over Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, interior Karnataka; at
