Maha: Congress leader slams Modi Govt

Amravati, Apr 24 (UNI) Senior Congress leader and MP Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday slammed the Narendra Modi government, alleging that the Prime Minister has waived off loans worth Rs 16 lakh crore of certain industrialists in the country but not of poor farmers.
Addressing an election campaign rally in support of party nominee Balwant Wankhede at Paratwada in Amravati Lok Sabha constituency, he made important announcements for women, youth and farmers in this meeting.
If the Congress party forms next government, it will implement the Mahalakshmi Yojana first as mentioned in the party manifesto, he announced.
Accordingly, a list of poor families in the country will be prepared and Rs one lakh will be put into the woman's bank account every year, he said.
"Thus, we will make crores of millionaires," the Gongress leader said in a dig at the Modi government.
He also announced that women will be given reservation in the government and public sector.
Targetting the Modi government further, he alleged that Modi had promised to generate two crore jobs for the youths of the country However, India has the highest unemployment in the last 45 years, however, India has the highest unemployment in last 45 years, he claimed.
Gandhi also announced that he will waive off the farmers' loans as soon as their government comes to power.
"We are going to form a farmers' commission, and this commission will inform the government for loan waiver to farmers of the country," he said.
He also announced that their government will provide the same facilities to the children of the poor that the rich people provide to their children.
He also promised that a caste-wise census will be conducted in the country.
