NCP (Sharad Pawar group) chief pays homage to PWP leader Meenakshi Patil

Kolhapur / Raigad, Mar 30 (UNI) NCP (Sharad Pawar group) chief Sharad Pawar on Saturday visited Pezari village in Alibaug of Raigad district, along with his wife Pratibha Pawar, to pay homage to Ms Meenakshi Patil, a former state minister and senior leader of Peasants & Workers Party, who died on Friday due to terminal illness.
While condoling her death, he said, "Meenakshi Patil belonged to the list of people who made a mark in public life of Maharashtra for 35 years. Her family is an adherent of progressive way of thoughts and has not changed their thinking even today. People remember her work in the legislative assembly."
"Ms Patil seriously raised many issues related to development of Raigad. Even when she was unwell, her confidence did not decrease. The state has lost a good person," Pawar added.
