43 candidates withdraw nominations, 23 remain in fray in Nanded

Nanded, Apr 8 (UNI) As many as 43 candidates out of total 66 withdrew their nominations for the Nanded Lok Sabha constituency in Marathwada region of Maharashtra, which will go to polls on April 26 in the second phase of five-phased elections.
An official press release issued by the District Election officer stated that in all, 74 candidates had filed the nomination papers for elections, of which the forms of eight candidates had been declared invalid during the scrutiny.
Out of 66 valid nominations, 43 withdrew their nomination papers today, as a result, 23 candidates remained in poll arena, it said.
