Maharashtra BJP chief challenges Uddhav to replicate Thackeray should show victory by 18 MPs: Bawankule

Mumbai, Mar 18 (UNI) BJP state President Chandrashekar Bhavankule on Monday challenged Uddhav Thackeray to lead his Shiv Sena (UBT) to victory in 18 Lok Sabha seats in the coming general election so as to replicate the Shiv Sena's performance in the 2019 polls when it fought as an NDA ally.
Bhavankule also reminded that the Shiv Sena candidates had won five years back by displaying photos of Prime Minister Minister Narendra Modi in the Lok Sabha election and those of another BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis in the Assembly election.
In November, 2019, Shiv Sena had ended its decades-old alliance with the BJP and joined hands with the Congress and the Nationalist Congress Party to form the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) coalition government with Thackeray as the Chief Minister.
