Not every development took place after 2014: Maha Cong chief

Not every development took place after 2014: Maha Cong chief

Mumbai, April 20 (UNI) Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) president Nana Patole has criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his desperate attempt to seek votes in the name of Lord Shri Ram and reminded him and his BJP government that not everything that helped the country and its people progress has happened in just last 10 years.
In a statement issued Friday night, Patole said India had been a strong country since independence but that changed when Modi became PM. "If there was an atmosphere of dejection in the country, such progress would not have been achieved," he added.
Since PM Modi and BJP are constantly dejected, they see despair everywhere, he said.
Patole said the PM is making desperate attempts seeking votes in the name of Prabhu Ram and religion as "it has not done any development work despite being in power for 10 years".
Patole slammed the prime minister for alleging just the opposite during a campaign meeting in Wardha district on Friday. He said PM Modi's allegations that development works were missing during the Congress government is completely false and only politically motivated.
Patole hailed Congress' "magnificent development work in various fields for 60 years". "It was the Congress party governments that set up the public sector institutions. Modi seems to have forgotten that the government institutions that Modi sold in the last 10 years were established by the Congress government," he said.

Modi's statement that everything happened in the country only after 2014 is a lie, a misrepresentation of facts, he said. "In his meeting, Modi made baseless accusations against Rahul Gandhi, the Congress party and INDIA Alliance," he added.
