Kolhapur, Mar 26 (UNI) Nashik district men's team won the championship by defeating Nagpur district team in the 49th state men's senior group handball competition, which ended late Monday night at Maharashtra High School and junior college grounds, organised by Kolhapur District Amature Handball Association, on the occasion of the centenary year of Prince Shivaji Maratha Boarding.
In a final match played in light Monday night, Nashik beat Nagpur by 32-24 goals and won the championship. Earlier, in a semi-final match between Nashik and Solapur districts, Nashik beat Solapur by 30–12 goals.
For third place, the Mumbai team defeated the Solapur district team by 37-33 goals.
