Wolves swoop to make Strand Larsen loan permanent

London, July 2 (UNI) The Wolverhampton Wanderers have moved quickly to turn striker Jorgen Strand Larsen's loan from Celta Vigo into a permanent deal.
The 25-year-old Norwegian spent last season on loan from the Spanish side and despite Matheus Cunha capturing most of the headlines, he finished the campaign with an impressive 14 goals in 35 appearances.
Strand Larsen has agreed to a four-year contract until the end of June 2029, with the club moving to seal the agreement the day after his loan expired.
Four of his goals arrived in a six-match winning run that saw the club climb away from the relegation zone after the arrival of Vitor Pereira as first team coach.
"It's been a good first season in the Premier League," said Stand Larsen, who was pleased at his rapid adaptation to the league.
"I've been able to take the steps quite earlier than I've done before. Previously when I moved to a new country, I've needed more time to get into it and score goals."
"As a striker, the team need you to score the goals and be on the end of the crosses, so to score 14 goals - and come back after my injuries and a little dip of form - it was a good season for me in that respect," he added, saying Pereira was responsible for his excellent second half of the season.
"Since Vitor and his staff came in, I scored eight goals, and seven goals in seven or eight games, so it was a good end of the season," he concluded.
