Kerala : Modi assures Karuvannur society depositors to return their money

Thrissur, Apr 15 (UNI) Launching a scathing attack on the ruling CPI (M) in Kerala, Prime Minister Narendra Modi
on Monday alleged that Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan is lying to the victims of the Karuvannur Cooperative Society scam.

Addressing a BJP election meeting in Kunnamkulam, near here for Alathur, Chalakudy, Ponnani, and Malappuram Lok Sabha constituency candidates,

The Prime Minister alleged that the Left leaders have swindled crores of rupees deposited by the common man and assured that the BJP the government will spare no effort to return their lost money.

The Prime Minister said The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has forfeited Rs 90 crores of the society Directors and the same would be returned to hundreds of people who have lost their hard-earned money. For the last three years, the Chief Minister and CPM leaders have been misleading by making false statements that the money is safe and the depositors need not worry.

The Left party leaders have looted the poor people's money. He assured the bank depositors who had lost money that the money forfeited from the directors would be given to them.

The Centre has so far returned Rs 17000 crores in the last several years to many people who have lost their money deposited in various scams in different places.

Without sparing both the LDF and UDF, during his 45-minute address, Modi said there is nothing left in Kerala where the Left party is ruling and the Congress rule has taken the country back.

He said the BJP government at the Centre has embarked upon implementing various developmental schemes and what you are seeing now is only a "trailer" and you will see many more surprises in the coming years. He said a bullet train will soon come to South India and will change Kerala to a global
heritage.
