ACB catches red-handed town planning supervisor accepting Rs 15k bribe

Hyderabad, Apr 18 (UNI) The sleuths of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) caught red-handed a town planning supervisor at the office of the Palvancha Municipality in Bhadradri-Kothagudem on Thursday when she was accepting a bribe amount of Rs 15,000.
At 1337 hours, the Accused Officer (A0-1) Ms Lakkireddy Venkata Ramani was caught red-handed by the ACB officials when she demanded and accepted the bribe amount of Rs. 15,000 from the Complainant Kampelli Kanakeswara Rao for herself and (A0-2) Perabattula Prasanna Kumar, Water supply worker (Outsourcing) in the same office for doing official favour-- to process the LRS applications of the complainant about 3 plots of Survey No. 817/41 and to forward those applications to higher officers, an ACB statement said.
The bribe amount of Rs. 15,000 was recovered from the possession of the A0-1 at her instance. The left-hand fingers of the A0-1, the contact portion of the right-side upper drawer of her office table, yielded positive results in the Chemical test.
