Lucknow, Apr 3 (UNI) Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav on Wednesday said that the party leaders and workers will contact two crore PDA families in two months and discuss with them about social justice and reservation.
In a statement issued here, Akhilesh said that the economic and social inequality and its ill effects will also be revealed to these families. "While Baba Saheb Dr.Bhimrao Ambedkar showed the way for the oppressed, exploited and deprived society to live with dignity, Dr Ram Manohar Lohia also laid the foundation stone of social revolution with the principle of equality of opportunity. Still, there is no social inequality and discrimination like India anywhere else. Through PDA, the exploited class has seen a new ray of hope and faith in socialist ideology," he said.
He said that status quoism has been promoted under Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) rule and atrocities especially on women, Dalits and minorities have increased. "They are being humiliated at every step. SP has been fighting the battle for the self-respect of this society and will continue to do so in future as well," he said.
The SP chief said that the BJP government has made a mockery of democratic values. "Capital houses are flourishing while raising the voice of poor people has become a crime. In such a situation, the development of the country is possible only with proportionate participation of all sections. This goal can be achieved through caste census. Only when everyone gets rights and respect based on their numbers will real social justice be established," he said.
He said that BJP is basically against social justice, that is why it is conspiring to end the reservation of backward people and Dalits. "It takes their votes but does not want to give them rights. To protect their rights and dignity, with the unity of PDA, the SP and INDIA alliance is going with full force to remove the monopolistic power of BJP at the centre in this Lok Sabha elections," he said.
