DM, SSP Baramulla directed to appear in person before the HC in contempt petition

Srinagar, Mar 20 (UNI) Jammu & Kashmir, and Ladakh High Court has directed Deputy Magistrate Baramulla and the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Baramulla to appear in person before the court on Monday in a contempt petition.
A contempt petition was filed by the detenue, Muneeb Rasool Sherwani, through his mother, saying he was in preventive detention custody, passed by the District Magistrate, Baramulla, and quashed by the High Court on December 30, 2023.
The Court had given a direction to release the detention forthwith, provided he was not required in any other case at the time of the quashment of the order.
