UP: Priyanka attacks BJP, says PM Modi not talking about inflation, unemployment

Saharanpur (Uttar Pradesh), April 17 (UNI) AICC general secretary Priyanka Gandhi attacked the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and said that elections should be held on the public issues, but Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his leaders were not talking about unemployment, inflation, farmers and women.
Talking to the reporters during the roadshow in support of party candidate Imran Masood, Priyanka said, "the PM and his leaders are talking about other things and questioned Modi "why his leaders were talking about changing the Constitution.
"Where did these things come from? What will happen to reservation when the Constitution is changed? What will happen to the voting rights of common people?," she said.
The Congress leader said that BJP has been exposed after the Supreme Court brought out the list of electoral bonds. "A company earning Rs 180 crore donated Rs 1,100 crore to BJP," Priyanka said.
In the road show, that lasted for more than an hour, Priyanka appealed for the victory of Imran Masood and said that everyone should participate enthusiastically in the voting to be held on April 19.
The AICC general secretary alleged that the aim behind Modi's claims of winning 400 seats is to change the Constitution of Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar and end all types of reservations.
She said that if there is no Constitution then there will be no democracy in the country and if democracy does not survive then your rights will also not be saved.
Priyanka said that this may not prove to be the last battle to save the Constitution and democracy. The only solution you all have to do to stop this is to ensure the victory of INDIA alliance's candidate Imran Masood with a huge majority, she said.
Priyanka also appealed to the voters to make Iqra Hasan, the candidate from the adjacent Kairana seat, victorious.
