Shimla, Mar 22 (UNI) The Election Commission is initiating a special drive to improve the voting percentage in 414 polling stations of Himachal Pradesh that registered less than 60 percent voter turnout in the Lok Sabha election five years back, an official said on Friday.
The spokesperson of the state election department said all such polling stations would be brought under the specific interventions in a mission mode called MISSION-414 to increase voter turnout
The spokesperson said the polling stations would be made model polling stations and booth youth icons would be appointed from among the first-time voters in these polling booths.
