UP: Elderly couple beaten to death in group clash

Bulandshahr, April 15 (UNI) An elderly couple was beaten to death during a group clash allegedly over an old rivalry in Gulawathi area of Bulandshahr district in Uttar Pradesh on Monday, a senior police officer said.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shlok Kumar said that the incident took place in Maholi village where two groups came face to face over an old rivalry, attacked each other and indulged in brick-batting. "An elderly couple identified as Ishaq Ali (70) and his wife Jamila (65) were beaten to death in the clash," he said.
He said that around two dozen people were injured in the clash of which the condition of three youths, including Abrar and Rauf, was stated to be serious. "They have been referred to a higher medical centre for treatment," Kumar said.
