Youth stabs self-attempts suicide in Ballia

Ballia (UP), Mar 16 (UNI) A youth attempted to commit suicide by stabbing himself during Samadhan Diwas in Bansdih area of Ballia district here in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday, police sources said here.
Police sources said that Sanoj Kumar, a resident of Pindaraha village, was having a dispute with his relative over construction of a projection. "To get the issue he came to Samadhan Diwas in Bansdih tehsil which was being attended by District Magistrate Ravindra Kumar and Superintendent of Police (SP) Dev Ranjan Verma," they said.
The SP said that while interacting with the officers Sanoj became violent, took out a small knife hidden in the application and stabbed himself twice. "The police personnel deployed on the spot controlled Sanoj and took him to the community health centre," he said.
