VB arrests 2 private persons for taking Rs 2.50,000 on the name of Vigilance Officials

Chandigarh, Apr 1 (UNI) Two persons were arrested on Monday in Punjab's Patiala for taking bribe of Rs 2.50 lakh by posing as Vigilance Bureau officials.
An official VB spokesperson said the arrested persons have been identified as Paramjeet Singh alias Pamma of village Daroli and Sahil Goyal of Patiala. They have been booked on an online complaint lodged by Jagseer Singh of village Arnetu, Patiala district on the Chief Minister Anti Corruption Action Line.
He informed that the complainant alleged that the accused duo had taken bribe of Rs 2.50 lakh from him to help in an ongoing enquiry with allegations of embezzlement in village development works against his mother.
