Police arrest 2 smugglers with 35 kg poppy straw in J&K's Ramban

Jammu, Apr 6 (UNI) Police on Saturday foiled a bid to smuggle narcotics and arrested two persons with contraband poppy straw in Banihal tehsil of Ramban district in Jammu and Kashmir.
Under operation "Sanjeevani" Police foiled a narcotics smuggling bid at Navyuga in Banihal and arrested two persons with 35 kgs of Poppy straw.
A police party of Post Jawahar Tunnel while conducting routine checking at Navyuga tunnel, intercepted a truck which was on its way from Qazigund towards Jammu.

Srinagar, May 1 (UNI) Police on Thursday attached properties of a Pakistan based terror handler in Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Police said after obtaining an attachment order from the Court of Sub Judge Uri, it attached properties (6 Kanals & 10 Marlas) land worth lakhs belonging to a terror handler based in Pakistan identified as Adrees Ahmad Mir a resident of Singtung Gowhallan Uri.
