Following unrest among employees and pensioners, the state pulled back the notification of the revised pay scale and DA

Shimla, Mar 5 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh government on Tuesday pulled back the announcement to increase the revised pay scale and payment of dearness allowance to around 2.6 lakh employees and 3.50 lakh pensioners in the state.
A notification issued by the government today said that the previous instructions issued regarding the payment of arrears on account of the revision of pay scales and dearness allowance have been withdrawn.
The notification does not provide any reason for the withdrawal. However, it is important to note that two notifications were issued on March 2 and 4, 2024, announcing the payment of a four percent dearness allowance for state government employees, effective April 1, 2024, and a revised pension was announced to be released in three slabs of 1.50 pc 0.25 of and three percent of pre-2016, from April 2016 to April 2022, and post-April 2022 to March 2024.
