Delhi Court sends Kejriwal to Judicial Custody till April 15

New Delhi, Apr 1 (UNI) Delhi Court on Monday remanded Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to judicial custody till April 15 in the money laundering case related to the alleged liquor policy scam case.
Special CBI judge Kaveri Baweja of the Rouse Avenue Courts, after hearing the ED’s plea that they do not want further custody remand of Kejriwal, the judge granted 14 days of judicial custody.
The judge further permitted Kejriwal to carry some medicines, books, and some personal stuff in the jail.
Kejriwal was arrested on the night of March 21 and produced before the Special PMLA Court the next day, March 22.
Special Judge Kaweri Baweja then granted ED custody to the Delhi CM till March 28. ED custody, which was further extended by four days until April 1.
The matter pertains to a case in which ED sent summons to Kejriwal in connection with the money laundering case in the Liquor Policy scam.
According to ED Kejriwal, he skipped nine summons issued to him.
Aam Aadmi Party leaders Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh are also accused in the case and are presently in judicial custody.
