DRI seizes 1.5 kg cocaine worth Rs 15 cr in Delhi

New Delhi, Mar 22 (UNI) Continuing its crackdown on the trafficking in narcotic drugs, the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) unearthed an international syndicate and seized 1.59 kg (gross wt.) cocaine, valued at about Rs 15 crore, here on Friday.
The syndicate engaged in the smuggling of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) into India from Africa via Indo-Nepal border, Ministry of Finance said in a release.
Acting on specific intelligence, an Indian national, who arrived in the morning of March 22, from Raxaul, Bihar, in a train at Anand Vihar Railway Station, Delhi, was intercepted, and 92 pale yellow capsules containing white powdery substances were recovered.
