Arunachal: AITF launches 'Clean Election Campaign'

Itanagar, Apr 15 (UNI) In a bid to curb misuse of money and muscle power in ensuing elections, the Arunachal Indigenous Tribes’ Forum (AITF), a conglomeration of various community-based organizations (CBOs) has launched the “Clean Election Campaign”.
AITF said that during its recently held general conference, all the federating CBOs representing 26 major tribes have been entrusted to carry forward the Clean Election Mission in their respective jurisdictions.
Further, they have been asked to ensure “no cash for vote, no money/ muscle power, no threat or intimidation to the vulnerable, no spiritual invocations, no gratifications, no luring with power & authority and no threatening post election”.
