Rs 10 lakh compensation to kins of deceased labourer in bridge collapse case of Bihar

Patna, Mar 22 ( UNI) The union government has provided Rs 10 lakh compensation to the kith of the deceased labour and Rs 1 lakh to each of ten labourers injured in an under-construction bridge collapse incident of Bihar on Friday.
According to an official release, prima facie the accident took place due to a crack in the pin while lifting a segment from the trailer of the under construction longest bridge in the country over river Kosi in between Bheja and Bakaor in Madhubani and Supaul districts.
In this accident 11 labourers were injured and rushed to the hospital where one of them succumbed while the other 10 were undergoing treatment and their condition was reported to be out of danger.

Aizawl, Apr 28(UNI) At least 650 homes including 51 houses in Tualpui and Vanka villages of northeastern Khawza distrrict have been ravaged by rain accompanied by massive hailstorm and gusty wind in Mizora on Saturday morning
Sources said 24 houses houses have been destroyed in Tualpui and 27 houses damaged in Vankal village when a heavy hailstorm hit the two villages at around 2 AM on Saturday morning.
