CP Cyberabad and SCSC hosts interactive sessions with CEOs of leading IT/ITES companies

Hyderabad, Mar 6 (UNI) Cyberabad Police Commissioner, Avinash Mohanty, Cyberabad Jt. CP D Joel Davis, and Ramesh Kaza, Secretary-General of the Society for Cyber Security Council (SCSC) on Wednesday conducted a collaborative interactive meeting with the CEOs of approximately 30 large IT/ITES organizations in Cyberabad.

The session saw appreciation for the ongoing efforts of SCSC, particularly in close collaboration with Cyberabad Police, addressing various issues such as traffic management, cybercrimes, and women's safety initiatives, a statement said.

The positive impact of SCSC's contributions was highlighted, with many companies noting the stark contrast in services compared to cities without a similar organization like SCSC.

The primary goal of the meeting was to gather industry feedback on SCSC's performance, reassess ongoing initiatives, consider new approaches, and explore ways in which Cyberabad Police, in partnership with SCSC, can introduce more initiatives beneficial to the IT industry. The aim is to attract more companies to set up bases in Hyderabad and facilitate the growth of existing companies in the city.

Key points discussed during the meeting included organizations were encouraged to nominate their Information Security professionals to the CISO Council or participate in the Centre of Excellence (COE). Commissioner Mohanty mentioned the expanded capacity of the Centre of Excellence for Cyber Safety - TSPCC, which can accommodate a larger number of participants.
Given the escalating traffic in the IT corridor, IT parks were requested to assign some of their security marshals to assist with traffic management. Several parks have already extended their support to Cyberabad Traffic Police, recognizing the need for better control of traffic in the vicinity, considering the significant number of employees and vehicles associated with each IT park.
To enhance awareness about traffic and road safety, companies were urged to share the dates of town hall meetings with the Traffic Police and SCSC. This collaboration aims to create broader awareness about traffic rules, women's safety, and related initiatives within a larger audience.
