Five Left parties accuse Centre of stifling protest rights ahead of Oct 10 Delhi mobilisation

New Delhi, Oct 9 (UNI) Five Left parties today accused the Narendra Modi government of undermining citizens' constitutional and fundamental rights by imposing sweeping restrictions in the national capital ahead of the October 10 mobilisation against the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls and the functioning of the Election Commission of India (ECI). Condemning the Delhi Police measures as an attempt to prevent people from participating in the proposed demonstration, the parties demanded that the authorities withdraw the curbs and allow protesters to reach Jantar Mantar peacefully.
