Maha: Senior Congress leader blames Modi for split in Oppn parties

Sangli, Apr 25 (UNI) Former Maharashtra chief minister and senior Congress leader, Prthivraj Chavan, on Thursday held Prime Minister Narendra Modi responsible for allegedly causing a vertical split in two opposition parties in the state and described this act as the biggest 'political corruption'.
Addressing a party rally here this evening, he said, "The three-party coalition (Maha Vikas Aghadi) government formed in 2019 to prevent BJP from taking power was doing good work but the vertical split in Shiv Sena, caused by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is the biggest act of political corruption."
He further said that the MVA government fell after MLAs of then undivided Shiv Sena were 'purchased' and / or lured with promise of various political posts to them at behest of Modi.
