Jammu remembers ‘Saviour of Kashmir’, Brig Rajinder Singh

Jammu, Oct 26 (UNI) Brigadier Rajinder Singh, famous as ‘Savoiur of Kashmir’ was remembered on Thursday at a function here.
Jammu and Kashmir Ex-Services League like every year observed Martyrdom Day of Brig Rajinder Singh, ‘The Saviour of Kashmir’ here.
On this day he laid down his life at Buniyar (Uri), while fighting Pakistani invaders.

Pune, May 6 (UNI) Day temperatures were appreciably above normal (3.1°C to 5.0°C) at many places over Gangetic West Bengal; at isolated places at a few places over Bihar; above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) at many places over west Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal, Kerala and Mahe, Telangana, Rayalaseema; at a few places over east Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam; at isolated places over Punjab, Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad. These were markedly below normal (-3.1°C to -5.0°C) at isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya; below normal (-1.6°C to -3.0°C); at isolated places over Gujarat state and near normal over rest parts of the country. Yesterday, the highest maximum temperature of 45.1°C was reported at Saraikela (Jharkhand) over the country.

Punjab poll body chief seeks DGP's report after BJP's plaint
