Jallikattu observed at many places in Chittoor

Chittoor, Jan 16 (UNI) The age-old tradition of bull taming sport Jallikattu, organised on the last day of Sankranthi, was observed in the district at many places, including Ramakuppam near Kuppam, V Kota, Rangampeta and at other places in the district.
Irrespective of age, people witnessed 'Jallikattu' at all places. Particularly, youth participated in the bull taming sport with enthusiasm.
Though the Supreme Court had imposed ban on this traditional deadly sport in 2014, wherein both bulls and tamers have life risk, the villagers, however, managed to organise this sport in their respective villages but police were left confined to spectator role in fear of rising communal issues.
