Thane, Jun 16 (UNI) The Income Tax Department at Thane has filed as many as 61 prosecution cases this year for default of taxes, the Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Thane Nitya Nand Mishra said here on Friday.
This year there has been growth of 40.37 per cent in corporate tax and the net budget collection of Thane charge has gone up by 25.35 per cent, also growth in advance tax has been marked at 26.96 per cent and self assessment tax at 24.5 per cent.
He also added that there have been unprecedented recovery surveys and Operation Clean Money surveys. It has even being ensured that all the Centralised Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System (CPGRAM) grievances are redressed within 30 days.
