Iraq attacks IS shelter in Syria's Al-Susah, 30 Commanders killed

Damascus, Dec 31 (UNI) At least 30 ISIL commanders were killed when Iraq Air Force carried out an airstrike on an ISIL shelter in Syria's Al-Susah, joint command of the Iraqi forces said on Monday.
"Today, Iraqi F-16 aircraft inflicted a painful and powerful air strike on Al-Susah in Syrian territory. The target was completely destroyed - a two-storey house used as a shelter and a meeting place for terrorists," the press service said in a statement, adding that the strike was conducted during a meeting of 30 high-ranking IS commanders inside the building.
The airstrike comes after RT Arabic reported that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad had granted Iraqi jets general permission to conduct strikes on the ISIL terrorist group in the country, Sputnik said in a report.
