INDIA alliance will win all 6 seats from erstwhile J&K state: Cong

Srinagar, April 27 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Congress president Vikar Rasool on Saturday claimed the INDIA alliance would win all the six seats from the erstwhile state.

He said the BJP proxies who are fighting in three seats of Kashmir will face a humiliating defeat as people will express their anger against all of them in the polls.
“ Congress will win two seats in Jammu. The National Conference will win all three seats from Kashmir and one seat of Ladakh, we will win,” Vikar said during a press conference in Srinagar.

He said that he read the pulse of the people of J&K and Ladakh before the polls and they were really angry with the present BJP dispensation .

“Every section of the society is in pain and unhappy with what has been done to them. People are worried about smart meters, unemployment and suspension of democratic setup, ” the Congress J&K president said.

He said the BJP and its proxy teams will face a humiliating defeat in the polls erstwhile J&K.

“The A, B and C teams and BJP have sought deferment of elections in Anantnag Lok Sabha seat. The representation has been signed by Peoples Conference, Altaf Bukahri’s Apni Party, Saleem Parrey candidate of Ghulam Nabi Azad in Anantnag. These are all BJP’s A, B and C teams who have appealed for deferment of polls. I ask why you want to defer it?.. Elections were held during the month of Ramazan when roads were closed in Chenab valley and we were fasting. I want to tell you that all the A, B and C teams of BJP which is itself not fighting here, people of Kashmir will express their anger against all of them in the polls,” he said.

When asked what could be the possible reason for the deferment of Anantnag polls, Vikar said that teams of BJP are seeing their defeat.

“ They are now devising a new strategy. But it will not do anything . Let me tell you whatever they do, their defeat is certain in all six constituencies of J&K and Ladakh,” he added.
J&K Congress president also demanded rehabilitation of families affected by Sangaldaan Ramban landslides.
