Honorary DLitt to Prof Dr Vishwanath Karad from US varsity

Pune, Apr 26 (UNI) Prof Dr Vishwanath D Karad, founder-president of MIT World Peace University, Pune and a renowned educationist of India, was conferred with Honorary D Litt by the Brigham Young University (BYU), Utah, USA for his exemplary lifelong work in the field of education and service to humanity.
The conferring ceremony took place at the Marriott Centre, Provo, Utah as a part of the Convocation of the 2024 batch of BYU on April 25 (Thursday).
While conferring the DLitt, President of BYU Dr C Shane Reese lauded contribution of Dr Karad to the field of education and to the promotion of interfaith dialogue in order to usher in an era of peace, said a press release here on Friday.
