Mumbai, May 29 (UNI) A major fire broke out at one of the coaches of Solapur Express, which was stationed at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSTM) platform no 18, at around 1500 hrs.
Four fire engines were rushed to the spot to douse the flames, sources said.
However, firefighters were finding it difficult to tackle the blaze, owing to thick smoke. Meanwhile, RPF and GRP personnel, apart from senior railway officials, have also reached the spot.
Fortunately, as the coach was empty, no casualty has been reported so far.
The reason for the fire was still unclear. Details are awaited, sources added.
