NIA arrests second accused in Manipur IED attack case

Imphal, Sep 29 (UNI) The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested a second accused in connection with the improvised explosive device (IED) attack at a residential house in Tronglaobi Awang Leikai, Moirang, Bishnupur district, in which two minor children were killed and another person injured. A statement issued by NIA said the arrested accused has been identified as Thangmang Haokip, of Churachandpur, Manipur. The attack took place on April 7, 2026, when suspected militants allegedly launched an explosive device from a hillside at Tronglaobi Awang Leikai.
