Cong Nandigram candidate moves Calcutta HC fearing arrest in five more cases

Kolkata, Sep 21 (UNI) Congress candidate from Nandigram Milan Pradhan, who is currently in jail, has moved the Calcutta High Court, apprehending arrest in five more cases linked to the 2007 Nandigram violence. Pradhan's lawyer Ayan Bhattacharya mentioned the matter before Justice Sougat Bhattacharya on Monday morning. After hearing the submission, the judge allowed the lawyer to file a petition. The matter will be heard on Tuesday, September 22. Pradhan was arrested from Chandipur in East Midnapore on Friday in connection with an old case dating back to 2007.
