Mahua Moitra moves Calcutta High Court over egg attack in Krishnanagar

Kolkata, September 21 (UNI): Krishnanagar Trinamul Congress MP Mahua Moitra has moved the Calcutta High Court alleging police inaction over an incident in which eggs were thrown at her during a visit to her constituency last week. Moitra's lawyer mentioned the matter before Justice Sougat Bhattacharya on Monday and sought an early hearing. The judge allowed the filing of the petition but rejected the plea for an expedited hearing, saying the case would be taken up according to the regular listing.
